Summary: Evaware releases MACIC software for Project E-vita for PDAs and Notebooks

Description:

MACIC (pronounced [mach-ick]) is a new range of clinical software solutions for Laptops and PDAs released today by Project E-vita.

MACIC stands for Mobile Autonomous Clinical Information Capture and allows an encrypted copy of Project E-vita patient records to be downloaded onto stand alone devices like Laptops and Windows Mobile 5 PDA devices. Physicians and medical personnel can then add data to the records during contact with patients without being connected to the master Project E-vita system. Data is entered against observation or pathology templates together with clinical free text fields. You can even add planned future visits / appointments. The next time they are in range of a wired or wireless network the physician can synchronise the data gathered with the master Project E-vita records used by the facility.

MACIC delivers a new level of accuracy of gathering clinical data while on the move in home-visits, hospital ward rounds, home care environments. More information on MACIC is available here.

MACIC is provided free of charge to Project E-vita ASP Service subscribers.
